영어 숫자 읽는법/영어 숫자

 

숫자 읽는법은 우리말이나 영어나 쉽게 못하는 부분입니다

 

내가 읽을때는 시간을 들여서 천천히 읽을수도 있지만

 

반대로 듣고 이해해야 하는 상황이 될때는 완전히 긴장해야만 합니다

 

특히나 듣기시험에서 숫자가 포함된 문제가 나오면

 

그날의 컨디션이나 운에 맡기는 경우도 있습니다

 

이번 한번 영어 숫자 읽는법을 한다고 끝나는게 아니고

 

부단히 연습해서 귀에 자연스럽게, 입에서 쉽게 나올수 있도록 연습해야 합니다 

 

 

1. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 기수 읽기 

 

백단위에는 hundred, 천단위에는 thousand등 단위를 붙인다

9	nine	10	ten
100	one hundred	103	one hundred three
1000	one thousand	1256	one thousand two hundred fifty six

 

 

25,687=twenty five thousand,  six hundred (and) eighty-seven

2. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 서수 읽기 

 

서수는 기수를 읽는 방법에서 앞에 the를 붙이고 뒤에 ~th를  붙인다

 

1	first	2	second
3	third	4	fourth
5	fifth	6	sixth
7	seventh	8	eighth
9	ninth	10	tenth
100	one hundredth	103	one hundred three
1000	one thousandth	1256	one thousand two hundred fifty sixth

 

 

25,687= the twenty five thousand,  six hundred (and) eighty-seventh

 

 

 

 

3.  영어 숫자 읽는법 - 분수 읽기

 

 

1) 분모는 서수로  분자는 기수로 읽는다

 

1/2=one half or a half 

 

1/6=a sixth (or one sixth)

 

2) 분자가 2 이상인 경우에는 분모에 s를 붙여 읽는다. 

 

2/7=two-sevenths

2¾ = two and three-fourths

5. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 년도 읽기

 

1) 년도는 보통 두자리씩 끊어서 읽는다

 

1979 = nineteen seventy-nine    

 

1900 = nineteen hundred 

 

1906 = nineteen (hundred) (and) six 혹은 nineteen [ou] six

 

2) 2000년부터는 정수를 읽듯이 읽는다

 

2002 = two thousand two

 

 

6. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 날짜 읽기

 

8월 4일 = August 4(th)=August (the) fourth 혹은 the fourth of August

7. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 시각 읽기

 

10:20 a.m. = ten twenty a.m. [ i m]  (오전 10시 20분)

 2:30 p.m. = two thirty p.m. [p : m] (오후 2시 30분) 

 

 

 

8. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 전화번호 읽기

 

(23) 4567 = two three, four five six seven  

 

(776) 2609 = seven seven six, two six 0 [ou] nine 

 

 

 

9. 영어 숫자 읽는법 - 방번호 읽기
